EQUINE PHYSIO

If you’ve ever had an injury or surgery, been sore or just ‘off’ and have seen a physiotherapist, you know that they will help you recover by doing things like soft tissue release, manual therapy, modalities like acupuncture or electrotherapy and give you some home exercises. The same goes for your horse. Horse physio can help your horse recover faster from injuries, release sore muscles, mobilize stiff joints and get your horse moving with better balance and stability. This all leads to a happier horse, happier rider and helps prevent reoccurrence of injuries. Below is a list of some of the things physio can help your horse with:

  • Pain/Discomfort

  • Joint or muscle stiffness

  • Tendon or ligament injuries

  • Muscle strains

  • Muscle imbalance

  • Performance issues

  • Lameness

  • Neurological conditions including spinal or viral

  • Strength and conditioning

Every horse is different, just like every person, which means the treatment and exercises prescribed will be specific to the needs of the individual. Your physio will also communicate and work in collaboration with your veterinarian when injuries also require medical care and attention. Send me a message if you have any questions, or would like to book an initial consultation (for you or your horse!)
